Birds of New Guinea

William Matthew Hart (1830 – 1908) was an Irish-born bird illustrator & lithographer who worked closely with English ornithologist John Gould. These prints are from Hart’s illustrations for Gould’s work “Birds of New Guinea”, completed between 1875 and 1888.
