William Matthew Hart (1830 – 1908) was an Irish-born bird illustrator & lithographer who worked closely with English ornithologist John Gould. These prints are from Hart’s illustrations for Gould’s work “Birds of New Guinea”, completed between 1875 and 1888.

We’ve outlined the images, digitally-enhanced them, and are offering them as 8”x10″ or 11″x14″ canvas prints. Printed on 333 gs/m cotton/poly canvas wrapped on a 0.75″ frame made from responsibly sourced radiata pine. Hanging hardware is pre-installed.
